To give you a good overview of what you need to do when starting up a private practice, and to make you feel more secure, we have compiled the following checklist: 

  • Decide on a budget and how to finance it.

  • Get Malpractice Insurance.

  • Find tax and legal advisors to help you through the process.

  • Secure yourself by becoming a business entity - PLC or LLC.

  • Start the process of Insurance Panel Participation if you decide to accept insurance.

  • Understand local business licenses and fees - and obtain the necessary ones.
